Google Android Launches on 7 Inch Tablet PC

Rumors that Samsung S-pad tablet will run Google Android has gone (In fact, we'd take this with a grain of salt, since there wasn't anything official reported). However, it seems that it's should take a period of time before the so-called Samsung S-pad comes into the market. While Google has confirmed rumors that it will develop an Android-based tablet computer months ago, there is still no sign. However the Chinese manufactures are always full of courage and creativity that they develop the first Google Android tablet PC in the world. And then many android-based tablet PCs are born. Here goes the one.

7 In Tablet Pc

This 7 inch tablet PC is among the first serials that has adopted Google Android operation system. Compare with those notebooks that have adopted Windows XP or Window 7, this tablet PC will save you trouble and money since Google Android is open source, which means this OS is almost totally free for user and the community will always be updating and programming for this platform. Then this will keep Google Android OS always up-to-date. This is not like that of Microsoft OS, pack too much, more than we desire and cost much, more than we can offer. Mini in size and light in weight, this tablet is really ultra-portable, the right one of so-called UMPC (ultra-mobile PC). Apart from the Google Android OS, this device boasts VIA MW8505 533MHz CPU, supporting WiFi 802.11 b/g. This processor will ensure a smooth operation. With Google Android OS, users can enjoy lots of applications provided by Google, like Google chrome, Google Maps, Google earth, Gmail, Google Talk and others including You Tube. And all these can be conveniently found and download freely in Android Market. You can get what you really need and get rid of the redundant. Be powerful and efficient, but do be simple! This is what "Google" implies!

Android Tablets: Which Size Of Tablet PC Touchscreen Is Best For You?

Android tablets are a groundbreaking new form of PC that simply look like a flat, black slate. Since they consist mainly of one large screen it makes them perfect for surfing, watching films and reading eBooks.

7 In Tablet Pc

Because a tablet PC has no keyboard or mouse, tablets' screens act as both because they are sensitive to touch. Therefore instead of clicking a mouse you tap the symbol on the screen that you can see, and instead of typing on a keyboard you tap the 'virtual keypad' displayed on the screen.

7 In Tablet Pc

However touchscreens are not all the same as they come in many different sizes. In fact, the size of the touchscreen is so crucial that it denotes the actual size of the Android tablet itself.

Common sizes are 5, 7, 8 and 10 inch touchscreens.

The big question for many potential buyers is which size screen they would need, and this is something that perhaps depends mainly on your individual needs.

Firstly it's important to say that watching videos and browsing web pages is OK on every Google tablet, but if you consider a 5 inch tablet which is only a little bigger than some smart phones then admittedly images may be a little small.

However, if you're after a really portable tablet then the 5 inch is unbeatable as it's literally pocket-sized.

7 or 8 inch tablets are the norm in terms of size. They fit into the 'Goldilocks' zone, where they are neither to large, nor small. Although bigger than a smart phone, they are still very portable and will fit easily into a backpack or handbag. This gives you a great compromise between size and portability and you certainly won't be getting tired eyes anytime soon, so they are ideal for surfing the net and checking out your pictures or videos.

Finally comes the big daddy of tablets, the mighty 10 inch screen. Think iPad sized. This monster is brilliant for videos, pictures and reading, but since they are so large it is a struggle to argue for them being more portable than a laptop!

If you are a major consumer of media, then it's safe to say that bigger is better, but there is a price implication. Whilst you can expect to pay 200 dollars or less for 8 down to 5 inch tablets, you should be prepared to pay perhaps at least 300 dollars for most 10 inch tablets due to their size.

If you are cost-conscious then you may want to open some accounts with big online stores who usually offer all of these size Android tablets. The difference between online and shopping in retail stores is that you will make a huge saving whilst only having to wait a few days for delivery.

Samsung Sliding PC 7

With all the news about new tablets running Android 3.0 Honeycomb, tablets running Windows got lost in the shadows. But out of all the Windows tablets introduced at CES, the most intriguing, and unique was the Samsung Sliding PC 7. The Samsung Sliding PC 7 will have a 10 inch capacitive multi-touch touchscreen with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, with a built in keyboard, which slides out from under the screen and transforms the tablet into a "LapTab." Not only is the design well thought out, but the hardware inside is not too shabby either. The Samsung Sliding PC 7 is equipped with a brand new Intel Oak Trail CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2 GB of memory, and 128 GB of flash storage.

7 In Tablet Pc

Designed for users who would like portability the tablet weighs in at 2.2 pounds, has touch capabilities, and a physical QWERTY keyboard. Another important aspect of the tablet is that is runs Windows 7OS. This means that all applications and programs the can be run on regular PCs can be run on the Samsung tablet. That includes the all-important, MS Word, MS, Excel, and MS Outlook.

7 In Tablet Pc

You might be wondering then what is so special. Well it is not revolutionary; there are many tablets that run on Windows, but none that use this form factor. The slide out keyboard is truly unique. The Samsung Sliding PC also comes with the usual peripherals: HDMI port which with an adapter turns into a USB port, audio jack, and 4 in 1 memory card reader. It also has Bluetooth, 3G and WiMax connectivity. The battery is standard as usual with maximum 9 hours of usage on a single charge, but like in apple products, is not removable. The tablet does come with both a front and back facing cameras, which presumably will allow for video chat through Skype.

The Samsung Sliding PC 7 hasn't arrived quite yet, and tech sources predict a May arrival with an expected price tag of 0. Images given to the public so far are only a mock-up, and do not yet represent the real thing. It certainly seems to be a more niche focused product. As a device though, it's pretty sound and for professionals it is a step forward in the right direction.
